We’re open to submissions on a rolling basis. If your work feels like it belongs “above the treeline,” send it.
What to send
- A short pitch (5–10 sentences) describing the project and why it matters.
- About the author (bio, links optional).
- Sample pages (10–25 pages) in PDF or DOCX.
- If nonfiction: table of contents and any comparable titles.
What we’re looking for
Clear voice
Writing that sounds like a person who knows what they’re doing.
Real stakes
Not manufactured drama—actual consequence, curiosity, or beauty.
Strong place-sense
New England welcomed, not required—place matters either way.
Durability
Work that won’t feel expired in six months.

Response time
We try to respond to every serious submission. If you don’t hear back, it’s not personal—it’s volume. A gentle follow-up after a few weeks is fine.
